Ben Powell lives and works as a photojournalist in Odessa Texas and holds a BFA in Photography from Texas State University. He was born and raised in Odessa Texas and started his photographic pursuits in 2012 when he enrolled in the photography program at Odessa College headed by Steve Goff. His work has been shown in galleries throughout Texas including the International Cultural Center at Texas Tech, the A-Smith Gallery in Johnson City, and the R Space Art Gallery in San Antonio. Ben utilizes many formats throughout his work including 35mm, large and medium format film, digital imaging, alternative processes, and book based media.
